Be a good neighbour

Part of being a responsible neighbour and Host is helping your guests understand best practices for interacting with your community. When you communicate local rules and customs with your guests, you are helping to create a great experience for everyone, including your neighbours. To make it easier to educate guests, we have put together a “Good Neighbour Guide” which provides several tips on how to be a good visitor by following local rules, such as house rules, noise policy, recycling or (non) smoking. This will help create a more sustainable form of tourism. Please download and fill out our new guide here (find the Guide in Czech here) and distribute it to all your guests.
Remember that Airbnb has announced a global ban on all parties and events at Airbnb listings until further notice, including a cap on occupancy at 16. All unauthorised events in listings are prohibited too.
Additionally, inform your neighbours about Airbnb’s new Neighbor Support Line in Czechia, which offers neighbors with urgent concerns about a listing the ability to talk to someone directly at Airbnb. Neighbors can request a call from a specialised support agent, who will aim to give them a call back within an hour or less, and report unauthorised parties or community disturbance. The support is provided in Czech.
To further support responsible tourism in Prague, Airbnb is helping Hosts prevent parties in their neighbourhoods. Selected Hosts on Airbnb in Prague can sign up to a pilot program and get privacy-safe noise detection devices. These devices will detect and help act on potential noise issues during a guest’s stay, and guests will be informed if the noise threshold is exceeded for a prolonged period of time.
Airbnb automatically provides a Host Guarantee, which offers property damage protection of up to $1,000,000 USD, and a Host Protection Insurance which provides primary liability insurance of up to $1,000,000 USD (both available globally). The Host Protection Insurance covers Hosts’ legal responsibility for bodily injury to guests or others, legal responsibility for damage to property belonging to guests or others, and legal responsibility for damage to common areas, like building lobbies and neighboring properties, caused by a guest or others.
