Update: COVID-safe travel in Australia
State governments across Australia are circulating roadmaps to lift public health measures in response to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, including easing of travel restrictions.
This process varies from state to state and as a host on Airbnb, we urge you to pay close attention to travel guidance and health advisories issued by relevant governmental, law enforcement and health authorities.
Cleaning guidelines to help prevent the spread of COVID-19
Now more than ever it’s important to revisit your cleaning routine to make sure you’re doing what you can to protect yourself and your guests.
Airbnb has a dedicated COVID-19 Resource Hub, which includes expert guidelines on how to clean your listing and information about Airbnb’s Enhanced Cleaning Initiative.
Prepare a plan for COVID safe hosting
There are a number of actions for hosts to consider as you prepare a plan for hosting and welcoming travellers once again. By following guidance on public health measures hosts can do their part to limit the spread of COVID-19.
We advise that you should continue to:
- review travel restrictions and unless these restrictions have been lifted in your state, continue to limit travel to only essential travel at this time
- follow restrictions on inter- and intra-state travel and travel to regional and remote communities, and
- make sure you comply with guidelines for physical distancing.
