Home sharing club in Delhi launched

On 17th June 2017, 31 hosts gathered in one of the beautiful “Chateau” restaurants and launched India’s second home sharing club in Delhi.

Presence of an engaged and passionate host community helped in setting the right tone for the launch. Hosts discussed the purpose and objectives of the club by sharing their ideas on community-led activities, which can be initiated in their neighbourhoods. It was a great opportunity for the Hosts to network, exchange ideas, and build meaningful engagement to help strengthen their belief in hosting.

Some of the more enthusiastic hosts shared thoughts on how their experience and individual expertise could be used for the host community and Airbnb platform. Host Vineet who works with Google agreed to take the lead in creating a guidebook for Delhi hosts and guests. Host Manjula plans to lead a clean city drive and musical street play to create environmental awareness. Nalin, an Airbnb Superhost for many years wants to bring together his fellow hosts to  explore old monuments and spread awareness around historical sites. Other ideas for community collaboration for the benefits of society were discussed and appreciated by everyone during the launch.

The second host club launch was just the beginning of a multitude of activities we expect to see in the region. The Delhi Host Club is a vibrant community of people who have shown the potential to unite their neighbourhoods and community leaders around the benefits of home sharing and the overwhelming response from hosts here was a resounding affirmation of the Delhi spirit!
