Gas Safety Week: Airbnb & OpenRent offer discounted Gas Safety certificate
Airbnb wants to keep Hosts informed when it comes to fire and gas safety. The majority of listings on Airbnb globally report having a smoke detector, and we have distributed free combined smoke and CO detectors to over 220,000 Hosts globally through our industry-leading detector program.
To mark Gas Safety Week in the UK, Airbnb has partnered with OpenRent to offer UK Hosts 10% off their Gas and Boiler Safety certificates.*
OpenRent provides gas safety services that can help Hosts protect their space. A Gas Safety Certificate helps to give Hosts peace of mind that their gas appliances are working safely and efficiently. A boiler service, which is recommended annually, will help to prolong the life of a boiler, confirm it’s in good working order, and help Hosts save money.
OpenRent has a nationwide network of over 1,500 vetted Gas Safe registered engineers, so Hosts can be confident their appliances are in good hands. To date, OpenRent has issued almost 100,000 certificates to UK homeowners so Hosts will be joining a community of people across the country who have made the decision to certify the gas safety of their homes.
How it works:
- Register and purchase your Gas or Boiler Safety Service from OpenRent to get a 10% Host discount here
- An engineer will be in touch to arrange a date and time that works
- Once checks are complete, Hosts will be sent their Gas Safety Certificate
Airbnb is committed to working with experts to help advise our community, and last year we worked with the National Fire Chiefs Council (NFCC) to issue a dedicated guide for Hosts on how they can prevent common fire hazards and reduce the impact of an accidental fire.
