Following the announcement of The King’s Coronation, searches for stays in London during the celebrations increased by almost 70 percent (2), with many looking to attend the celebrations in the capital, not just from the UK but all around the world. As such, Airbnb data shows that the top guest origin arrivals to London for dates around the Coronation are guests from the US, the UK, France, Australia and Germany.(3)

From a luxury room in beautiful Pimlico to a design-led Hackney hideaway there’s lots of inspiration for people looking to celebrate in the city.

Airbnb is also offering a £100 travel coupon to new Hosts welcoming their first Airbnb guest during the Coronation in May. The bonus scheme encourages locals across the UK to make the most of the increased demand for holiday accommodation; last year during the Platinum Jubilee celebrations, Hosts collectively earned over £7.1 million with the typical Host earning just over £500.(4)

This May is the perfect chance for both guests and Hosts to come together and enjoy the royal festivities, whether that’s traveling to the capital for the celebrations or taking advantage of the £100 new Host bonus scheme and opening their home to a guest during the Coronation.
