Today Airbnb has shared a selection of nurseries in homes around the world that are fit for a prince or princess.
Hosts around the world are sharing their homes and the amenities that make it easier for parents to travel with infants. Homes with nurseries, where parents don’t have to worry about taking a travel cot, and kitchens, where parents can prepare food and sterilise bottles with ease, are available to book on the platform.
Parents can head to Airbnb to browse a wide range of trendsetting, beautifully designed bedrooms available to book on the site, making it easier for families to find their dream nursery when they travel. Last year, Airbnb teamed up with leading home renovation and design platform Houzz to reveal the top nursery trends ahead of the arrival of the third royal baby. Research from the Houzz UK community revealed that stereotypically ‘gendered’ bedroom colours were set to be replaced by popular neutral tones which provide a canvas for inspirational or educational décor*:
White is the most popular kids’ bedroom colour, with nearly half (49%) of parents citing it as a dominant colour in their child’s room:
Close to two thirds of parents on the Houzz platform (61%) are embracing themed rooms for their children:
Inspirational or educational 23%
The master bedroom in this home comes complete with a bamboo cot, perfect for resting newborns. This stylish home in Amsterdam embraces colour blocking in the nursery, in cool and soothing tones, while the children’s bedroom in this Parisian apartment instills a sense of adventure with a bold feature wall.
