Airbnb has revealed its top trending European cities for Brits searching for breaks this winter.
With European adventures back on the cards, new Airbnb data reveals that Brits are eager to start exploring lesser-known cities in the coming months.
Spanish city Cordoba is one of the top trending destinations in Europe for those gearing up for winter sun breaks abroad. Home to ancient architecture and rich cultural heritage, the city appears to have caught the eye of Brits and is set to have a moment this season.
In fact, Spain in general is seeing swathes of tourists heading towards the Southern European country this winter, with nine out of the 13 trending cities on the list belonging to the Mediterranean destination.
Beyond the traditionally popular areas of Madrid and Palma, travellers are eager to explore the far corners of Spain this winter and are searching for places in La Gomera and Santander.
For holidaymakers wishing for a winter wonderland, Trondheim in Norway is the coldest city on the list, and will be the ultimate destination to enjoy snow covered mountains and warming nightcaps to reign in the new year.
Meanwhile, Chisinau is revealed as the up-and-coming Eastern European destination whose Soviet architecture and bargain value is starting to pull on the heartstrings of British travellers looking for something new.
