Partnering with the LA County Federation of Labor to provide $1M in housing support for workers

In a continued effort to support those affected by the recent wildfires in Los Angeles, Airbnb is contributing $1 million in Airbnb credits to the LA County Federation of Labor to provide free, emergency housing to union members who have been displaced by the fires. 

The LA County Federation of Labor represents over 800,000 members across more than 300 affiliated union and labor organizations in Los Angeles County. Airbnb will work with Labor Community Services, the nonprofit arm of the LA County Federation of Labor, to identify members who have been displaced by the fires and are in most need of housing support. Members will then receive Airbnb credits to book free, temporary stays that best meet their needs.

Airbnb’s ongoing support of Airbnb.org’s response to the wildfires in Los Angeles

Shortly after the wildfires broke out, Airbnb supported Airbnb.org, a nonprofit organization founded by Airbnb, in offering free, emergency housing for at least 25,000 people impacted by the fires — a goal it surpassed last week. Airbnb continues to support Airbnb.org’s ongoing efforts to help thousands of people in Los Angeles who still need temporary housing.
