Key Takeaways

  • Over 40% of hosts say they would host more if they had more help so we are introducing Co-Host Network, an easy way for hosts to find and hire the best local co-hosts to manage their Airbnb.

Introducing Co-Host Network

An easy way to find the best local hosts to manage your Airbnb – right in the app.

  • Hosting on Airbnb is one of the best ways to make money from your home. In fact, according to a recent survey, over a third of hosts use their earnings to make ends meet.1
  • However, not everyone has the time to host but over 40% of surveyed hosts say they would host more if they had more help.2 That’s why we’re helping hosts find the right support by introducing Co-Host Network.
  • With more than 10,000 co-hosts across 10 countries3, hosts can now find personalized support based on their needs, from listing setup to managing bookings and communicating with guests.
  • Co-hosts are experienced hosts with an exceptional track record on Airbnb. They have an average rating4 of 4.86, almost three quarters of them are Superhosts and 84% help manage a Guest Favorite.5

A more personalized app

We’re introducing over 50 guest upgrades that make the Airbnb experience more personal.

  • We want guests to spend more time traveling and less time planning so we’re making it quicker and easier to find the perfect place.
  • From a fun and quick welcome guide for new users, to suggested destinations and recommended filters, we’re making searches more intuitive to take the extra work out of planning a trip.
  • Filters can be incredibly helpful for guests to find their perfect stay with four out of every five searches using at least one filter.6 However, with over 80 filters to choose from, we know guests can feel overwhelmed so we’re redesigning search filters with recommendations based on your past bookings and current search.
  • Some of the most commonly used amenity filters include WiFi, pool, hot tub, air conditioning, and a kitchen.7
  • Proximity to points of interest is often considered by guests when choosing a stay. In fact 85% of guests say location is important to them when deciding between booking an Airbnb listing or other accommodation.8
  • Maps are a great way to help understand the proximity of a listing to key places, but they currently may not have enough context so we’re revamping them to make it even easier to pinpoint where a listing is in proximity to key attractions, parks and neighborhoods.

More options for booking your stay

  • In addition to making it easier for guests to find their perfect Airbnb, we’re also giving them more options to conveniently pay for their stay their way.
  • Over the last few years we’ve added over 20 local payment methods including Twint in Switzerland, Pix in Brazil and Kakao Pay in Korea this year alone, and today we’re excited to introduce four more: Vipps in Norway, Mobile Pay in Denmark, MoMo in Vietnam and P24 in Poland. By spring 2025 we expect to have nearly 40 different local payment methods live across five continents, used by more than 4 billion people around the world9, providing more options for guests and helping to make Airbnb accessible to people that may not have been able to pay for a stay before.
  • We’re also making the checkout experience quicker for certain returning guests10 by showing them key details at a glance and helping them book with just a single tap.

Additional upgrades for hosts

20+ updates for hosts based on their feedback.

  • Hosts have told us in the past that it can be hard to know what to charge so we created a similar listings tool to help them see the average prices of listings nearby. Since launching the tool, it has been used by over 2 million hosts.11 We’re making it easier for hosts to set competitive prices with a nightly price tip suggestion, based on similar listings in their area, that they can choose to apply with just one tap.
  • Quick replies help hosts communicate promptly with guests. However they can be time consuming for hosts to set up. So we’re making it easier to use with customizable pre-written templates hosts can use to send check-in and checkout instructions, directions to the listing, WiFi details and more to guests.
  • We know how important earnings are to hosts. In fact, on average, the earnings dashboard is visited by more than 150,000 hosts daily.12 That’s why we’re making it easier for hosts to customize their earnings reports, better understand their income by type, and know when to expect payments with personalized earnings cards.
