As the grand stretch in the evening returns, Airbnb reveals the trending destinations Irish guests are looking to explore for their spring getaways this year.¹

For those holidaying closer to home, rural escapes in counties like Wexford,  Limerick and Clare are in demand this spring as guests look to make the most of the longer days outdoors. Many are choosing to embrace the sea breeze in Sligo this spring, and searches for stays in Mayo have also risen recently, where guests can enjoy picturesque cycling and walking routes or explore one of the rich historical sites.

Particularly popular for Irish guests this time of year are sunny getaways in towns like Alghero, Italy, Torremolinos, Spain, and Rhodes, Greece while some holiday makers are choosing to go further afield to experience delicious cuisine and culture in Bangkok, Thailand.

With the recent resurgence of country music over the past twelve months,  it’s no surprise to see Nashville, Tennessee coming out as one of the trending destinations for Irish guests. According to Airbnb’s global spring 2025 travel trends report, there has been an 80% growth in solo searches for sprint time travel.²  Solo adventurers are embracing relaxed and meaningful travel, opting for extended stays to fully immerse themselves in their chosen destination.

More jetsetters globally are also bringing their furry friends along (30%), with solo travellers being even more likely to opt for a pet-friendly stay this spring (40%).³
