Airbnb Reveals the Cheapest Cities to Jet Off to in Europe

With payday still feeling a lifetime away, there’s no better way to lift the January blues than with a city break this year. 

Airbnb has unveiled the cheapest cities around Europe within the past year that will reignite your travel bug, as well as promising not break the bank*. Whether it’s a weekend getaway with friends or a romantic trip with a loved one, there’s somewhere for everyone to explore. 

Those seeking a bargain should look east for inspiration, with cities in central and eastern Europe offering some of the best value for money. The historic city of Mostar in Bosnia and Herzegovina, famed for its iconic Stari Most bridge has topped the list of cheapest hotspots. Sibiu in Romania and the Unesco-listed Ukrainian city of Lviv have also recently featured in Airbnb’s top trending lists for British travellers amongst others.
