House sit for Paddington and The Browns in their London home, now on Airbnb

This fall in celebration of the release of Paddington in Peru, everyone’s favorite bear, Paddington™, is inviting families worldwide for a once-in-a-lifetime overnight stay on Airbnb at his Windsor Gardens home. Located in a charming and quaint area of London, Paddington shares his home with The Brown Family. 

The new movie sees Paddington and The Browns embarking on a journey to Peru in search of Aunt Lucy at the Home of Retired Bears – and so they’re in need of a house sitter. During his adventure, Paddington has listed the family home on Airbnb for free, and he’s looking for three trusted families to house sit for him in his vibrant and cozy townhouse – with scrumptious marmalade sandwiches included.

About the stay

Guests will have the opportunity to stay overnight in The Browns’ home, which includes real furniture featured in the Paddington films – developed, produced and distributed by STUDIOCANAL. Inside the house, there will be a winding staircase set against the iconic two-story blossom tree mural, before taking in the quirks of The Browns’ living room – from the stacked bookshelves and boardgames by the fireplace, to the retro carousel horse by the window. 

After a fun-filled afternoon exploring the different rooms in the house, guests can relax and indulge in an afternoon tea with quintessential marmalade sandwiches in The Browns’ colorful open-planned kitchen. As the evening unfolds, guests will be invited to visit the local cinema to be among the first to watch Paddington in Peru, during its official UK and Irish cinema release on November 8, 2024.

As the day draws to a close, guests can get ready for bed in the seaside-style bathroom (being careful to avoid a flood, unlike Paddington!), before resting their weary heads for the night. In the morning, guests will be treated to a bear-inspired breakfast basket and will then bid farewell to Paddington’s home.

Sleeping arrangements 

Big enough for a family of four, two adults will be invited to spend a night in Mr. and Mrs. Brown’s bedroom, while the two children will be staying in Paddington’s iconic attic bedroom. Guests will have access to most of the house, including toilet and shower facilities.

House etiquette

• Marmalade sandwiches for breakfast, lunch and dinner highly recommended
• Duffle coat and red bush hat optional
• Toothbrushes are for cleaning your teeth only, NOT ears!
• No flooding the bathroom, Paddington learned the hard way
• Keep the home nice and clean, just like Mrs. Bird likes it

How to book

The exclusive stays will be available for three separate, one night stays from Friday, November 8 to Sunday, November 10. Guests can request to book this stay on November 3, 2024 at 9:00 AM GMT at airbnb.com/paddington. The stay is suitable for two adults and two children and will cost $0 for the night, with dinner, breakfast and cinema tickets included. Travel costs are not included and the stays are selected on a first come, first served basis.
