This week, we celebrated the launch of more than 150 local-led Airbnb Experiences now available in all five boroughs of New York City, our biggest launch city to date. To commemorate the latest milestone in Airbnb Trips growth, Airbnb CEO and Head of Community, Brian Chesky, was joined by Experience hosts Sarah Jessica Parker, Ansel Elgort, and Michael Strahan, as well as Cardi B, Joe Jonas, Dascha Polanco, and other notable guests to witness this dynamic city come to life through some of our Experiences at A/D/O in Brooklyn Tuesday night.
At the event, Brooklynite Ansel Elgort performed a DJ set for guests before Bronx native Cardi B took the stage and sang her number one song on Billboard’s Hot 100 Charts, Bodak Yellow, and a variety of other hosts gave hands-on demonstrations and an immersive look at NYC through their eyes. All five boroughs of NYC were represented by the various Experiences that were showcased including an observation hive from Staten Island with live bees and honey for guests to taste, a sampling of authentic Latin food from Queens and a tattoo artist from Manhattan giving NY-themed tattoos throughout the night.
