What’s Trending for Summer on Airbnb

2019年夏の旅行先トレンド予測

The spring break, Carnival and Easter trend of traveling to warmer climates continues into summer trip planning on Airbnb with a focus on nature. From bioluminescent waters in Vieques, Puerto Rico, to the mountains and caves in Bragg Creek, Canada, Airbnb travelers are discovering new off-the-grid destinations to immerse themselves in the world around them.

And taking three spots in the top-ten trending destinations globally, Puerto Rico’s more secluded areas such as Dorado and Rio Grande are seeing more than 400 percent growth in bookings*, perhaps proving Hurricane Maria’s recovery efforts have encouraged more island exploration.

Below are some of the top trending destinations Airbnb guests are heading to this summer based on percentage growth in bookings during the same time last year*:

While some of these destinations prove popular despite who you’re traveling with (or not), we’re seeing other notable trends amongst families, duos and solo travelers.
